Explanation:
It is normal - it happens to many people. As you are improving in your practice (eg. Da Bei Mantra.....) you are purifying your mind and your body. You body beomes more and more sensitive.......to a point......your body does not want to take in meat any more .......you "naturally" become a "vegetarian".
In this process, some people might throw up (like your situation), some people might have skin rashes and blisters, some people might have diarrhoea, stomach ache.....or not feeling well eating /smelling meat.
Sometimes, it is because your body is sensitive to the poison in the meat. Sometimes, it is because you are so sensitive to the "sufferings" of the animals when they were killed.......
In Buddhism -- it is called "Discovery of the Root of Goodness" - Shan(Good) Gen (root) Fa Xian (discovery)
It is a good thing, a healthy purification process -- happens"naturally"
No need to worry !! It is going to help your progress in your Buddhist practice. (or other spiritual practices) You will find yourself healthier, more clear in your mind, and more energetic....
It usually does not happen to every one, it only happens naturally when you are "ready" !!
Therefore, we have "no need" to talk anyone into becoming a vegetarian. When they are ready, they have no choice, and they will do it naturally.
Forcing anything to happen is no good.
You are welcome to contact me if there is any further question.
Many of us have a lot of experiences with this.
P.S. How long has it been ?
